It is September, and I am about to start training here at the San Francisco Zen Centre – and I received this lovely email from a client.
I won’t be painting for a while as I’m going to live at Tassajara and the
San Francisco Zen Centre and train to be a Zen priest
– that’s me on the left!
I will be painting intermittently though, and all new work will be posted here,

The colours have an Art Deco mustard feel about them, but remain quite understated. The image references a photograph I took of the famous Palazzo on the Grand Canal during the 54th Biennale del Arte in Venice, and the dancing figures are part of the installation by artist Marco Lodola.
